One other reason that you need to try and make a food journal is that you can keep track of what you ate and what kind of mood you were in that day. You can then learn how your emotions are attached to your eating. That is one thing that people fail to look at when they eat, is the real reason that they are doing it. Everyone is an emotional eater in one way or another and when you can figure out the real reason that you eat, the better you can control it. The other benefit that you can get from writing is that if write it, read it, and read it out loud the better you mind will take in the information about yourself. This is the same idea that you might have been told in high school or college that you are more likely to take in the information or keep points by reading it and taking notes and then reading the notes back to yourself. If you can spend 20 minutes of your day doing something extra try and get in a little cardio. You do not have to necessarily have to go to the gym everyday to exercise instead try to do some exercise DVDs at home. There are plenty of them on the market now that promote healthy weight loss and only take about 20 minutes a day to do. The other option is dancing, some people will say that they have no coordination and cannot dance, but this is just another excuse for you not to do exercise. There are not dance videos that show you step by step how to do each move and they start out slow and then you can choose to speed it up once you are ready.
No one ever said that weight loss would be easy, but if you make it fun then there is no way that you cannot lose the weight that you really want to lose. This year make your resolution come true and make weight loss happen while having fun.
